Stability :Pale,blue-green crystals or granules that are efflorescent in dry air.In moist air,it oxidizes readily to form a brown-yellow,basic ferric sulfate. It’s soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol.

Usage: It is used as nutrient, fruit and vegetable chromogenic reagent.

Application :

1. Water treatment
Ferrous sulfate is used for flocculation purification of water, as well as to remove phosphate from municipal and industrial sewage to prevent eutrophication of water bodies.
2. Reducing agent
A large amount of ferrous sulfate is used as a reducing agent, mainly reducing chromate in cement.
3. Medicinal
Ferrous sulfate for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia; It is also used to add iron to food, and long-term overuse may cause side effects such as abdominal pain and nausea.
It can also be used as a local astringent and blood tonic in medicine, and can be used for chronic blood loss caused by uterine fibroids.
4. Colorants
a. The production of ferric tannate ink and other inks requires the use of ferrous sulfate. Wood-dyed mordants also contain ferrous sulfate.
b. Ferrous sulfate can be used to dye concrete yellow rust color.
c. Woodworking with ferrous sulfate to dye maple wood silvery color.
5. Agriculture
Adjust the soil pH, promote the formation of chlorophyll (also known as iron fertilizer), can prevent the yellowing disease caused by iron deficiency in flowers and trees. It is an indispensable element of acid-loving flowers and trees, especially iron trees. It can also be used as a pesticide in agriculture to prevent wheat smut disease, apple and pear scar scab disease, and fruit tree rot disease; It can also be used as fertilizer to remove moss and lichen from the trunk.
