Our sodium disilicate is hydrated and completely soluble in water. It is produced in a state-of-the art granulation plant allowing a careful control of the composition (ratio, hydration, particle size) which ensures a stable product quality ! Our sodium disilicate is a versatile product that shows excellent buffering capacity, effective corrosion inhibition, good bleach stabilizing- and binding properties. The product is made from sand and soda and recognized as environmentally safe. Our sodium disilicate is particularly suitable for use in dry-mix products and where less water is desired.
Our hydrated sodium disilicate contains both silica and alkalinity in a molar ratio of 2:1 between silica and sodium oxide. In addition, as it is hydrated it contains 18% of water which improves it's solubility. Our powder range has been specifically developed to meet the demand for different rates of solution and reactivity.
Our sodium disilicate is available in a fine granular form (200 - 630 micron) and a variety of powder forms: 200P0 (70 micron), 200P1 (100 micron) and 200P2 (170 micron). The complete product specification and material safety datasheet can be found under downloads. The typical values below are given for informational purposes only.
